SUPPORTING THE BLACK CHALLENGE BEYOND THE WORLD CUP

I thank Hon. Eric Opoku, Minister for Food and Agriculture, for his GH¢50,000 donation to the Black Challenge and his pledge of poultry enterprise support for eight locally based players.

I respectfully appeal for all 25 members of Ghana’s delegation to the Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico to be considered for support under Nkoko Nketenkete, subject to the Ministry’s eligibility requirements and assessment.

The proposed cages, laying birds, feed and technical assistance could help participants develop livelihoods and contribute to Ghana’s food production.

We would welcome the opportunity to work with the Ministry’s technical officers on registration, accessible training and continuing guidance. For eligible delegates working abroad, we propose discussing suitable arrangements for Ghana-based enterprises.

Every delegate contributes to Ghana’s World Cup campaign. We hope this journey can also open practical opportunities that benefit the team and their households beyond the tournament.
