An Agitos Foundation report published by the IPC highlighted the benefits of Ghana’s awareness campaign around Rio 2016. Seed funding helped the NPC attract media attention and raise thousands of dollars towards the team’s travel.
The story
Ghana also reported increased public awareness of its athletes, while cyclist Alem Mumuni was invited to community and charity activities promoting education. NPC representatives Ignatius Elletey and William Ezah credited the campaign with improving fundraising and communicating athletes’ abilities and contributions to national development.
