An IBSA-supported initiative brought blind football training to Accra in February 2017. Reporting through the IPC, IBSA said ten local players, several coaches and two female guides participated in a three-day workshop.
The story
The project involved Rolf Husmann, former German international Kofi Osei, Ghana’s Frederick Assor and local supporter Dan Niii Mensah. Coach Enrico Gobel led the workshop. Players continued training afterwards, establishing a practical foundation for a sustainable Ghanaian programme and the ambition to enter continental competition.
