Ghana included in IPC plan for free-to-air Tokyo Paralympic coverage
Ghana was among 24 territories with broadcasters confirmed for the IPC’s proposed free-to-air coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Ghana was among 24 territories with broadcasters confirmed for the IPC’s proposed free-to-air coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Announced in December 2020, the initiative planned live opening and closing ceremonies and daily highlights with African-focused coverage in English, French and Portuguese.
The story
Supported by the IPC and UK Aid, it formed part of Para Sport Against Stigma. The programme aimed to expand audiences and use greater visibility of Para athletes to challenge disability stigma across sub-Saharan Africa.
