NATIONAL STORIES · SHARED AMBITION

The Para sport story of Morocco.

Morocco’s Para athletics history includes El Amin Chentouf’s 5,000m gold at London 2012 and marathon victories at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. The country also develops international competition opportunities as a host. Rabat joined the World Para Athletics Grand Prix circuit in 2026, following Marrakech, and Moroccan athletes collected eight gold medals at the capital’s inaugural event.

Historical context is drawn from the linked IPC records. Dates and roles refer to the time of the original report.
