A July 2026 Para Sport Festival in Botswana attracted more than 165 participants with disabilities and around 60 supporting coaches and community leaders. Held at Joyland primary school in Mochudi Village, the event offered athletics field events, blind football, goalball, Para powerlifting and wheelchair tennis. The IPC reported that Sport for Mobility funding followed leadership-development courses completed by the NPC. The festival aimed to turn new skills and local partnerships into wider opportunities for grassroots participation.
