Botswana’s national day brings 400 athletes together

Botswana’s National Paralympic Day welcomed 400 athletes at the University of Botswana on 27 May 2015, with 58 officials supporting athletics, wheelchair basketball and netball. An IPC-published Agitos Foundation account linked the event to organisational training undertaken by the national association. Newly formed technical committees helped revive the gathering, while government and sporting organisations attended. The report also recorded a wheelchair tennis camp launched in June, extending the emphasis on participation and athlete development.
