Governo builds on world and Paralympic bronze medals

Edmilsa Governo reflected on the role of running in her life as she prepared for the Tunis Grand Prix in June 2019. Mozambique’s Rio 2016 representative had won women’s 400m T12 bronze there, following bronze at the Doha 2015 World Championships. Supported by the Agitos Foundation for the Tunis trip, she was seeking qualifying performances for Dubai 2019. The IPC account connected those ambitions with her experience racing leading international athletes and her admiration for Mozambican Olympic champion Maria Mutola.
