Nigeria’s Goodness Nwachukwu retained her Commonwealth Games discus title in Glasgow on 29 July 2026. Her final throw of 39.66m in the combined women’s F42–44/61–64 event was reported as an F42 world record pending ratification. Mauritius’s Noemi Alphonse then won silver in the women’s 1,500m T54 on 31 July, earning the country’s first Commonwealth Para sport medal. She added 400m T54 silver on 1 August, with Scotland’s Melanie Woods winning both races. These achievements were recorded at the Commonwealth Games: a title defence for Nigeria and two successive podium finishes for Mauritius.
