Cissokho’s throwing career expands his opportunities

An IPC feature traced how Boubacar Cissokho's move into athletics in 2011 opened new sporting and personal opportunities. By the time of publication in April 2021, the Senegalese thrower had competed internationally and held a discus personal best of 43.83 metres. At a February 2020 meeting in Marrakesh, he placed second in discus, third in shot put and fourth in javelin. The account describes an athlete combining employment in Dakar with training and pursuing further international competition.
