Benin plans a new athletics talent-identification project

The IPC announced Agitos Foundation support for Benin’s third Para sport development project, scheduled to begin in November 2016. Following earlier awareness campaigns, the NPC intended to identify young athletes in ten towns, supply athletics equipment and monitor their progress through training camps. Project leader Georges Seriki connected the initiative with stronger regional structures and disability-rights awareness. The report recorded a development plan and a longer-term Tokyo ambition, rather than completed recruitment or confirmed Paralympic qualification.
