Gambia’s Paralympic history includes its London 2012 debut and later development in athletics, wheelchair basketball and powerlifting. IPC features also recorded Modou Gamo’s world-championship progress and a competition-support grant enabling Ali Kah to compete in Oran in 2026.
IPC Competition Support Grants helped five athletes from Gambia, Guinea and Togo, alongside two coaches, attend the African Open Para Powerlifting Championships in Oran in May 2026.
