Ramphadi reflects on a continental first with Sithole

Donald Ramphadi and Lucas Sithole won Africa's first Paralympic wheelchair tennis medal with quad doubles bronze at Paris 2024. In a January 2025 IPC interview, Ramphadi described the teamwork behind their 6–2, 4–6, 10–8 victory over Brazil's Leandro Pena and Ymanitu Silva. The account connects that result with earlier Grand Slam experience and the pair's growing understanding on court. Ramphadi also described messages from people inspired by the achievement and his hope that the medal would encourage others.
